As a teacher for over fifteen years, I know just how important it is to every parent that their child fulfils their potential. That’s why I am delighted to offer Maths and English tuition in Thornton serving families in the Thornton, Crosby and Maghull area. Whether your child is struggling with a subject or if you want to make sure that your child achieves everything they are capable of, our workshops will help them to succeed.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MAGIKATS THORNTON

At MagiKats Thornton we try our best to make learning fun! At our workshops, your child will be placed with a dedicated mentor as part of a small group (maximum of four students) and we try to make our sessions as hands-on and interactive as possible. Your child will work on an individual programme tailored to help them improve and progress, that has been produced for them by a qualified teacher.

There are two strands to the MagiKats system. The workshop sessions focus on curriculum work and students are guided through each session with support from their mentor. In addition to the workshop, every child is provided with a weekly pack of work to take home that is tailored to the areas they need to practice to build fluency and confidence in.

Our new dedicated centre is a welcoming and calm space that provides an excellent learning environment. Primary and secondary students work in separate areas with displays to aid their learning. All our hands-on activities are prepared and ready so that your child can enter and start learning as soon as their 40-minute workshop starts.

MY BACKGROUND

After gaining my degree in English in 2004, I realised that I wanted to work with children and use my specialist knowledge. I quickly obtained my teaching qualification from the University of Cambridge and returned home to work in schools in Liverpool. It soon became apparent that I was particularly skilled at supporting pupils who needed extra help and I went on to become a qualified Special Needs Co-ordinator.

I then decided to use these skills to open my own dedicated tuition centre and that is how MagiKats Thornton began. I know that with my qualifications and over fifteen years’ experience working as a teacher, I have the skillset to ensure that your child will receive all the help and support at MagiKats Thornton to help them succeed. All the mentors at MagiKats Thornton share this desire to help and support your child with their learning and to help them to flourish!
